A Goodwin Christmas

Here are some pics of the boys Christmas this year. Ethan got his Wii that he just knew Santa was going to bring him. Jackson got a pull cart for his golf clubs that still have not arrived even though we ordered them in September. He has been very patient though so hopefully they will arrive before spring comes and he is ready to play again. All in all I think we had a great Christmas!!! I have been addicted to Wii bowling so that has been fun for us all. Hope everyone has had a great holiday and see you in the New Year!

Fall Fun with the kiddos

Aunt Lisa was in town last week and we took a bunch of fall pictures with the kids. They had a good time playing in gammy and papa's backyard while Lisa shot the pictures. It is amazing that Ethan made it through without any broken bones after all these jumps into the leaves. I think it is safe to safe he is fearless and will have to be watched carefully as he gets older and braver! I really love the picture of all three of them because their facial expressions are so much like each one of them.

Halloween at the Goodwins

Bella was not too thrilled to be dressed as a skunk. I thought she was super cute but she spend the whole night pouting on her chair. I did get her to come outside for awhile once I took off the head piece.

Here the boys are posing with our Haunted Butler. He was really cool and we scared alot of kids while handing out candy when he spoke suddenly.

We headed to the club for a pizza costume party before trick or treating started. It was alot of fun and the boys got to hang out with all of their friends.

Ethan has started saluting people now so here is a picture of Ethan in mid salute. Who knows where he comes up with these things but it is pretty funny. It is also better than his other talent of armpit farting which he has also started here lately. Ohhh the joys of boys!

Here is Jackson with a bunch of his friends at the party. As you can tell the normal costume for a 8 year old boy seems to be anything disgusting looking.

By 8:30 Halloween night Ethan called it a night. He fell asleep in full costume and did not wake up again till the next day. I wish every activity made it this easy to put him to bed.

Ethan was so proud of this picture the other day and he was glad to know that he spelled Boo correctly without asking for help. He is getting so smart!!!!

Aliens have landed

Jackson and Megan were acting goofy at Halloween Express the other day and dressed up like these aliens to scare Ethan. Needless to say Ethan won't be an alien anytime in the near future.

Tony Romo Jr

Here are some pics of Ethan in his halloween costume. He has gone to quite a few parties lately so he has gotten alot of use out of this costume. Jackson has not had his on long enough for me to shoot any pictures but I will get some on halloween.

Ethan's First Field Trip

Well the rain held out and we had a great first field trip to the pumpkin patch. All the kids picked out a pumpkin, of course Ethan had to have the biggest one he could find. It will be alot of fun to carve out. They got to have a picnic and then played out there for about 2 hours. Who knew there was so much to do at one pumpkin patch. All in all no one got hurt so it was a successful trip!

The Real Nacho Libres

Daniel negotiated for days to get these two Nacho Libre masks for the boys. Who knew that Mexican wrestling masks were so expensive. Anyways, he finally found someone willing to take what he was offering and now we have our own mexican wrestling matches EVERY night of the week. Here you can see the boys taking turns body slamming each other.

El Arco- At Land's End in Cabo San Lucas

We had a great time in Cabo with our friends last week. It is a beautiful place and the people are so friendly. It was great to get away for the week but we were so happy to come home and see the boys.

Fair Parade Float

My Soccer Studs

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from soccer this weekend. It was Ethan's first game and he had a great time playing. He scored about 8 goals and was very proud of himself. Jackson started off the season great with 4 assists and 2 goals in his first game of the season! It looks like we are going to have a fun season with the boys this year!

Woodrow Cummins Elementary Lions

As one of our fundraisers to pay for the new playground at the new school we sold bricks that are going to line the sidewalk at the new playground. Tonight we had the first dedication and the kids got to lay their own bricks. Here Ethan is laying the brick with his principal Mrs. Green and Woody Cummins who the school is named after. Jackson had soccer practice so ethan got to do ours by himself. As you can see he is wearing his new school t-shirt he got today. He was so excited to get it and we think it is so cool that the boys will be the first classes to go through the new school and have a brick there forever.

The Goodwin Kitty Hilton

Here are some pics of our new cat house. I had heard that the forecast for the winter was going to be really cold so I thought I should have a better house for our three cats now. We had two cats until this year when a stray found us so now we are at three and our current dwellings were not that great. I mentioned to my dad on friday that I thought it would be cool to have a replica of our house and drew out a picture and two days later the kitty Hilton (as Ethan calls it) was done. The boys helped me pick out all the decorations and the kitties got new bedding and matching throw pillows (Jacksons idea and I was so proud). As usual we went a little overboard but I think my dad had fun building and i loved decorating it. I hope the kitties will love it as much!

One Month till paradise

I am so excited that in one month we are headed to Cabo San Lucas Mexico. Daniel and I are going with our good friends Dawson, Lori, Paula and Robin. We are so excited but will miss the kids while they stay here in school. Here is a pic of our resort.
